This week students will meet for a genuine book talk with Lit. Circle groups.  There are three tasks to accomplish in addition to the meeting:

  • I-ready Greek and Latin Affixes (due Tuesday)
  • I-ready Connotative Meanings (due Friday)--this lesson due date is for families and individuals who are asking for more work while away from the school day.  In reality, the lesson can be completed by Dec. 2 which gives an additional school day for completion.

Weekly update:  This week students will compose and deliver two-voice poems with a classroom partner.  The two-voice poem reflects the style of Unit 1's whole class novel A Long Walk To Water.  Some students are completing last minute book shares and final vocabulary tests.  All students will reflect upon their pre-assessment argumentative essay and work to improve on a post essay planned for Thursday.  Independent Reading Responses this week are in the form of an online response form found on students' Google Classroom accounts.  Students should continue to read four times week for 30 min each sitting.
