The Integrated Day Charter School has applied and been approved for an extension of the Summer Food Service Option.  What does this mean for you?

ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FROM IDCS.

We are encouraging ALL families to participate in this program!

How does it work?

 

 

Breakfast @ IDCS: available 7:45 a.m. – 8:10 a.m.  Students will receive breakfast as they come in the main entrance, no pre-order required.  Breakfast will consist of a Grain (Muffin, Cereal, or Pastry), a Protein (Yogurt or String Cheese), a Fruit (Fresh or Cupped), Fruit Juice and Milk.

Lunch @ IDCS: available during student’s regular lunchtime.  Students should order in their classrooms every morning. We are encouraging parents of students in grades K/1 to send a note with their child for ordering.  They will have the following choices (all meals will be served with fruit, vegetables, and choice of milk):

  1. Turkey/ham & Cheese on a Whole Grain Roll (alternating menu)
  2. Sun Butter & Jelly on a Whole Grain Roll
  3. Tossed Salad with Hard Boiled Egg, String Cheese, & Dinner Roll
  4. Hot lunch option of the day (Please refer to our menu tab)

 

 

 

NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

IDCS participates in the National School Lunch Program, offering free and reduced priced meals to students based on family need. Should your needs change during the year, submit a new application or request one from the front desk.  We also now offer online application submission via Titan Solutions HEREIf you qualify for reduced priced meals, the cost for student breakfast is $.30 and the cost for student lunch is $.40.

PAYMENT
IDCS utilizes Titan Solutions for our meal payment system.  You can access the system HERE or by clicking on the right hand menu and under both the Parents and Students drop down menus on the main page.  Cash payments and checks payable to "IDCS Lunch" can also be sent in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and "Lunch" and placed in the payment box near the main entrance.  The cost for student breakfast is $1.45, adult breakfast is $2.50.  The cost for student lunch is $3.25, adult lunch is $4.50.

Students are required to choose 3 of the 4 components offered daily, one of which must be a fruit component.  Menu is subject to change.

Served on all Full Days of School from 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. in three "waves", see below
 
Both the "Grab and Go"  and Hot Lunches are served with Milk, Fruit & Veggies.  Adult "Grab and Go" includes an extra Fruit or Veggie and the choice of a Milk or a Bottled Water.  Students are required to choose 3 of the 5 components offered, one of which must be a veggie or a fruit component.  All lunches for students range from 600-650 calories if the student consumes 5 of the 5-6 components offered.  If the student chooses only the "required" 3 components, the calories are lower.  Most students will be hungry within a few hours if they do not consume the calories offered.  Food is your fuel!  Menu is subject to change.
