Child Care Programs
IDCS offers a variety of child care options designed to support families before, after, and beyond the traditional school day. Our programs provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students while accommodating family schedules.
Program Options
IDCS child care offerings may include:
- Extended Day Program: Operating on regularly scheduled full days of School Monday-Friday, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
- Half Day Program: Operating on most regularly scheduled early release days from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.
- Seasonal or Camp-Based Programs: Spring and Summer Break
Program availability, schedules, and enrollment details are posted annually and shared with families via ParentSquare.
Program Schedule
Specific start dates, hours of operation, and calendar details are published annually on the Child Care Calendar.
Programs are not held on days when school is closed, including holidays, (unless otherwise noted), or snow days.
Registration & Payment
- Enrollment is limited and available on a first come, first served basis
- Registration is required prior to participation
- Child care is billed at an hourly rate
- Payments must be made online through ProCare using a linked bank account or debit/credit card
- Cash and checks are not accepted
All payments are due weekly. If payment is not received, a student may be ineligible to attend until the balance is paid.
Late Pick-Up Policy
Students must be picked up at their designated program end time. Late pick-up may result in additional charges billed per minute. Repeated late pick-ups may result in removal from the program without refund.
Behavior Expectations
Students enrolled in child care programs are expected to:
- Follow all program rules and staff directions
- Demonstrate respectful and appropriate behavior
- Participate safely in all activities
Students who consistently demonstrate behavioral concerns or are picked up late on multiple occasions may lose their child care placement. Payments are non-refundable.
What to Bring
Families should provide:
- A snack and water bottle for all students enrolled in Extended Day
- For camps or seasonal programs:
- Blanket, pillow, or comfort item for quiet or movie time
- Change of clothes and towel for water-based activities, when applicable
Communication
Program updates, reminders, and schedule changes will be communicated via ParentSquare.
