Open notebook - 2 attempts - redemption questions!

You have two opportunities to take this quiz. Take your time - this is VERY similar to the quiz you will have on Friday!

Your job is to create a comic strip of AT LEAST 6 panels that shows a trip through the water cycle.  You should create a fun name for your water molecule and have them go through at least 6 DIFFERENT transformations.  Please make sure these transformations are realistic!  As part of your strip, you need to include a minimum of 5 vocabulary terms from page 111 in your notebook.  Your cartoon should be illustrated in color and demonstrate a quality effort.

You will have time in class Thursday and after your quiz on Friday to finish this assignment.  It will be due at the beginning of your science class on Monday.

You are welcome and encouraged to use your notebook when completing this assignment. Not only will you have redemption quesitons, you will also have two opportunities to take this quiz Before taking the quiz, it is highly recommended that you watch the attached youtube video which gives a nice summary of DV/IV and also tells you a little bit about constants and control groups.

Please turn in quality work.  Take your time, be thoughtful and reflective in your answers.  Remember - to get full credit on the "what do you wonder" "what do you think" sections, you must give me 5 answers.

Your poster is due on Tuesday, February 11th.  Note that this is a change from what I told you previously. Over the course of the next week, you will have time allocated in class to work on this assignment.

In the next few days, you will learn more about what the periodic square means.  Please hold off on doing that section of the project until you've learned all about it.

Please use your class time to do this.  If you are in class and you are not using your time constructively, I WILL grade what you have done at the end of the period.

Be thoughtful in your responses and take your time to truly analyze the graphs and determine what relationships exist between the two.

The news is a great place to learn about science.  Today, we will take a look at science articles that are trending in the news.  Your job...find out what is out there and tell us about it!

After finding a new article:
summarize the big ideas in your own words.  
come up with an opinion about what was written AND come up with three questions you have about the material presented
identify and define three vocabulary words what were unfamiliar to you

This is to serve as a baseline - see what you know and what you don't know.  Put in a quality effort and see what you might need to study for the quiz next Friday!

You only have three attempts at this quiz. I recommend you take it the first time with your notes just to see what you know and what you don't know. Then take it again, this time without your notes. Check to see how well you did and take note of the areas you had trouble. After you've practiced the areas where you struggled, do it one last time, just to make sure you know your stuff! Remember, your goal is an 80% or better.

After you've finished the handouts in your notebook, visit this site to get more practice reading graduated cylinders.  When you are done, screenshot your completed work and submit so you can get full credit

This is a great place to get a little more practice measuring length.  Once you've completed the online practice, take a screenshot and upload to Google Classroom.  Don't forget to submit it so you can get full credit!

This should be completed before you come to class on Tuesday. Remember, it is practice. You should continue practicing until you get an 80% or better

Hello Everyone!

You will get directions related to your lab safety poster in class but I am including this information here for your reference.  Your poster will be due on Thursday at the beginning of class.  Make sure you use your time in class constructively and productively!

Remember, you MUST do the safety symbol that was assigned to you.  Grades will NOT be posted in google classroom, but will be in Powerschool when they are completed.
