IDCS Cross Country 2023

Fee: $120 per student (Payment will be processed through ProCare by 9/6/23)

Typical Practice Schedule:
Students will be assessed on their running after 2 weeks of practice. September 14th all students will be expected to run a mile, without stopping to remain on the team. The boy's races will generally be about 2 miles and the girl's races will be around 1.5 miles. Some races will vary as every course is different. Proper clothing should be worn at all times. (Sweatshirt and pants for warm-ups and cool downs. Long or short sleeve shirts with comfortable shorts. Athletic shoes made for exercising.)

Transportation: Parents will need to pick up at IDCS.
Uniforms: We are asking that all students wear an IDCS T-shirt and black shorts. Team t-shirts will be $15.00 each. Please fill out form on the bottom for size.
Practice Rules: Attendance will be taken at each practice.
Everyone must have their own water bottle.
Inclement weather and cancellations: Mrs. Monique will notify everyone via group message on Parent Square.

There is limited space for all programs. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Form AND payment ($120.00) must be received in order to reserve your child's spot in the program.
Sports Forms (Permission to Play and Sports Physical Form) are REQUIRED prior to participation.
If you have already completed the above forms for Cross Country or Basketball in the 2023/2024 school you, you do not need to redo the forms.

Cross Country practices will run on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3pm until 4:30p.m. at IDCS.
Practice will not be held on days when school has a half day, holidays or snow days.
Students must be picked up promptly at 4:30 PM. Failure to pick up the child at 4:30 PM will result in additional charges of $4.00 every 15 minutes after 4:30 PM . Students who are discipline problems or picked up late 2 times will be asked to give up their spot and registration fees will not be refunded.
Behavior During Cross Country: Students are expected to stay with their coach for the whole time. If there are any discipline problems off site, your child may be disqualified from the team with no registration refund.
Scholarships may be awarded based on financial need to students who have not previously received a scholarship during the current school year. Scholarships can only be used for one sport choice. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please see Mrs.Monique Kercado.
