What is the most inspiring part of your job? Watching students grow as mathematicians, especially when they think they can’t.

Hobbies, Skills, Talents OR what do you like to do when you are not working? I enjoy spending time at/on the water. I also enjoy reading science fiction or fantasy books.
Who is someone you admire and why? I admire students for whom math does not come easy and yet they continue to push to learn the concepts.
If time travel and long distance space travel were possible and all fictional worlds were real. What place and/or time would you visit and what would you do while you were there? While I would probably answer this question differently every time I am asked, right now I am choosing the beginning of our country. I would like to hear the discussions people were having at that time about what they thought our country should look like..
What is something you want to learn more about? Our country, I would like to travel cross country to learn about different people and ideas, and see the National Parks and other natural wonders.
If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Definitely pizza, there is so much variety, from breakfast to dessert.
If you were a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why? Ocean blue, it is the blue ocean water seen in the tropics.
